Exciting doubleheader at I-35 Speedway this Saturday
WINSTON, Mo. (August 11, 2026)—Two big events are coming to I-35 Speedway this Saturday, August 15. Scobee Powerline Night will feature the Mike Tanner Memorial for Hobby Stocks, paying $1'020 to win and $200 to start and USRA Iron Man B-Mods, with B-Mods paying $1,200 to win and $130 to start. Weekly racing is also on the schedule.
The Finish Strong Mike Tanner Memorial is an I-35 Speedway special event and a key fundraiser for the Finish Strong Foundation in Mike Tanner’s memory. After months of planning, gathering supplies, promoting the event, and securing sponsor support, the foundation is ready for a memorable night of racing. Mike Tanner was a racer, competitor, teacher, mentor, coach, and sponsor whose life ended unexpectedly on October 20, 2018, at age 40. A devoted husband and father, he was also an accomplished and respected dirt track racer.
In addition to Hobby Stocks and USR B Mods, the night will feature USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA Tuners and E Mods.
This is a race night you won’t want to miss. Kids receive free general admission and gate giveaways, and adults will also have a chance to win prizes when they enter the grandstands.
Racing begins this Saturday at 7:00 P.M. Pit gates open at 3:00 P.M., and grandstand gates open at 4:00 P.M. General admission is $22, admission for seniors 62+ and military is $18, and kids 18 and under get in free. ID may be requested.

The following rules apply to the special Mike Tanner Memorial Hobby Stock race:
a. USRA Hobby Stocks must follow the USRA rule book.

c. Lakeside Pure Stocks must follow their rules, except they may change gears instead of following a gear-rule restriction if they use a 6200 RPM chip.

a. Minimum weight: 2,950 pounds.
b. Cars with a Holley 4412 carburetor must use an unaltered Wehrs adapter/restrictor plate, part number WM206100R1500. The distance from the bottom of the carburetor to the top of the intake manifold may not exceed 1.25 inches.

The Hobby Stock feature will include a 24-car field. The top 12 drivers in passing points from heat races will transfer automatically, and the top eight will redraw for starting positions on the grandstand side under the flag stand with young fan involvement. The next 10 qualifiers will come from last-chance races. Two provisionals will be awarded to the highest drivers in I-35 Speedway season track points who do not otherwise qualify.
Updated redraw rule: After heat races are complete, feature lineups will be set from highest to lowest passing points, with the top four cars participating in a redraw. The top-four redraw will take place under the flag stand at intermission and will be conducted by four young race fans, each representing one of the top four passing-point positions. This redraw applies to all classes. For special events, the track may add more young race fans to redraw additional positions, such as fifth, sixth, seventh, and beyond. Drivers are encouraged to watch the redraw and participate with the young fans representing their passing-point positions.
The top two finishers in each heat and the top four finishers in the feature must scale after the race. Cars should enter the scales from the backstretch before Turn 3.
Pit passes are $40 for adults, $25 for kids ages 6–10, and free for children 5 and under.
Fuel 110 is available on site.
Drivers must register with I-35 Speedway through MyRacePass or bring a completed registration form from the speedway website. One-night temporary registration is available for $15.
USRA class participants must be registered with USRA. One-night temporary licenses are available at the track for $10. Alternative USRA B-Mod rules apply.
