Central Missouri Speedway 2026 season concludes
WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Aug. 5, 2026)—I hate to post this as it’s a very difficult decision for me, it has come time to end the 2026 season at Central Missouri Speedway," said curent owner Bob King." At this time I must focus on business and not hobbies, which is the main reason the race track is for saleI have an opportunity in business which I cannot pass up and it will require lots of my time and traveling.
"This will not allow me to operate the race track and keep up on maintenance like I want to. "In addition to the speedway being hit by lightning two times this season, it is in need of electrical repairs throughout to keep it operating 100%. This year has been a huge struggle with weather, and learning the ropes of running the speedway. We have lots of very amazing people who have put in countless hours to make the speedway and races the best they could be. I am forever grateful for all these individuals.
"I also want to thank each and every sponsor that joined us this year," King added. "Without these very amazing people and companies we would not have been able to accomplish what we did in 2026.
The race track is for sale. We have interested individuals, who will keep it a race track, looking to purchase the facility. It looks positive for racing in the future at Central Missouri Speedway.
Pub 13 remains open, and will remain open six days a week just as they are currently. Follow their Facebook page for the happenings, specials and events at The Pub.
"I truly appreciate all the support we had from fans, drivers, employees, sponsors and friends," said King, "It would not have been possible without a single one of these amazing people. Thanks to each and everyone involved.
