USRA American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports

Stormy Scott earned his first USRA American Racer Modified Series win of 2026 and rookie Talan Willis clinched the series championship with a third-place finish Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway.

Stormy Scott and Tyler Wolff started side by side on the front row and battled through the first half of the 20-lap Pannell Chipping A-Main. Scott eventually took command, but Wolff stayed within striking distance. The race’s only caution came out on the white-flag lap, setting up a green-white-checkered finish and giving Wolff one last shot. Scott pulled clear on the restart to secure his first ARMS win of 2026.

Wolff finished second, and Willis advanced from fifth to third to clinch the championship. The rookie from Elizabeth, Louisiana, enters Saturday’s finale with 1,062 points and an insurmountable 105-point lead over Scott. Kale Westover sits third with 818 points after finishing sixth Friday. Wyatt Gaggero and Bo Day rounded out the feature’s top five.

Tyler Stevens won the Real Racing Wheels B-Main. Scott won the Rick Beebe Heating & Air Conditioning Heat 1, Matthew Day took the Smith Equipment Company Heat 2, Wolff won the Kevko Racing Heat 3 and Gaggero claimed the Swift Springs Heat 4.
