Esquivel earns Legends checkers in Casa Nissan Edge of Texas Dirt Track Nationals opener
The ASCS National Tour 360 Sprint Car drivers were joined by the USRA X-Mods, and the Casa Nissan Legends of the Southwest in the Casa Nissan Edge of Texas Dirt Track Nationals at the El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, Texas November 7th, 2014.
Jimmy Ray would bank $1,000.00 tonight as at the beginning of the twenty lap main event it was a Joe Alvarado show, with Jimmy Ray in second. Mingo Jauregui would slice his way to second, then punched the #36 of Joe Alvarado! Both drivers would head to the back of the field for making contact in the yellow. Jimmy Ray would take the lead on that restart with thirteen laps to go. Once Ray gets the lead it’s hard to take away. It’s like trying to take a bone away from a dog! Jimmy Ray who has been dominant in the USRA dirt Modified division will now find him self a winner in the USRA X-Mod division at the El Paso Speedway Park.
Luis Esquivel would hold Joshua Jackson for the Casa Nissan Legends main event win. Joshua Jackson and Luis Esquivel would battle side by side the whole race for the lead. Mike Zuloaga, and the “Wild Man” Kyle McCutcheon would battle for third. Race track conditions were off the chart! So good, that there was three grooves. Luis Esquivel survived two restarts and would win the Legends main event over Joshua Jackson.
The ASCS National Tour action will head to the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico November 8th, 2014. The National Tour will again be joined by the Casa Nissan Legends and the USRA X-Mods.
