Moyer wins Turkey Hunt presented by S&S Fishing & Rental
Billy Moyer Jr. would lead the full 30 lap show, and bank $3,000.00 in the Turkey Hunt 30 lap main event presented by S&S Fishing & Rental. The Super Late Models were joined by the USRA X-Mods, Casa Nissan Legends of the Southwest, and the USRA Modifieds.
Paddy Rush, rushed to the lead in the opening lap and would sustain the lead in the USRA X-Mods. John Carney Sr would follow with Gorham in third. It was single file most of the way, and Paddy Rush would win in the USRA X-Mods.
Representing New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Minnesota was the USRA Modifieds. The Gallardo's wouldn't let Rodney Sanders clean sweep the weekend on their own turf. It was Fito v.s Jacob in the front for the lead. Most of the race it was all Fito Gallardo, until Jacob Gallardo sliced his way into the lead with two laps to go coming out of turn two. One lap later Fito Gallardo attacked once again coming out of turn two and reclaimed the lead. Fito Gallardo would win the Turkey Hunt in the USRA Modifieds.
Fifteen Casa Nissan Legends checking in for battle and it was a Luis Esquivel show until the “Wildman” showed up. Kyle would steal the lead on a restart. Luis Esqiuvel would battle mechanical problems and just got his car ready for the main. The “Wildman” would run away to dominate the Casa Nissan Legends main event.
Twenty-two Super Late Models made the call for the Inaugural Turkey Hunt presented by S&S Fishing & Rental. We had drivers from six different states; Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, and Minnesota. Rodney Sanders lead 22/25 laps in night one after Billy Moyer Jr passed him with three to go. On night two it was almost the opposite. Billy Moyer Jr lead the whole way and in the closing laps Rodney Sanders would show his nose to Billy Moyer Jr. Moyer said he saw Rodney's nose, but he didn't hesitate and kept his lane and would blow him off for the win and would bank the $3,000.00 in the Inaugural Turkey Hunt presented by S&S Fishing & Rental.
