Jacob Gallardo sweeps in El Paso!

Jacob Gallardo stayed strong to hold off his dad for the victory at the "Park". The USRA Modifieds were joined by the USRA Street Stocks, Mini Sprints, Super Trucks, and the Hornets.
It was the Rusty Bowen show in the Super Truck Main event. Rusty lead from the drop of the green with a healthy gap between the field until he spun and made contact with the tire coming out of turn two with five laps to go. Sherman Barnett would get the lead after that situation and would hold on to win the Super Truck main event.
It was short and sweet with the Hornets as three Hornets checked in. Rudy Tarin Jr. ran away from your field like nothing and lead from flag to flag in the heat race and the main event over Benny Pena, and Chris Gonzalez.
It was also short and sweet in the Mini Sprint division as only four checked in. Tonight it wasn't a Jett Carney and Will Gonzalez show. A.J. Marcoz lead from flag to flag in the main to capture his first 2015 victory! Jett Carney tried different groves to catch up, but it didn't happen. Carney got second with Will Gonzalez and Emily Haley fourth.
Jason Josselyn would turn into a fireball for the second week in a row! This time though it was in his heat race. He would fix it for the main and came to stop Robert Vega on going to a perfect 3-0. Jason Josselyn battled Vega for a while as they shared the lead for bit, until Jason Josselyn broke away!
Fans enjoyed the "Gallardo show" as in the heat race Fito and Jacob went side by side for the lead and Fito Gallardo would win the battle. When it came down to main event time it was the same thing! This time it was different. Jacob had the high line and Fito was on the bottom. Fito had the bottom groove coming into play until he didn't hit his mark in turns three and four and went flying off the track into the pits. Jacob Gallardo would then not have to worry about his dad, but lap traffic. It was an issue in the main for that j17, and Jacob Gallardo picks up his first win at the El Paso Speedway Park and the state of Texas this year. He has won in Arizona, New Mexico, and now Texas.
