#37STRONG

Its been a long week for the racing community after the wreck of Josh Jackson but tonight we go racing for him with our amazing drivers and crews already pledging all their winnings to him. We race for you tonight Josh and our thoughts and prayers continually are upon you. The 4 classes of Super Trucks, Casa Nissan Legends, USRA Street Stocks, and USRA Modifieds are ready to roll out on track in a #37Strong fashion.

It’s a 15 lap Feature A Main to kick off this evening and here come the super trucks! The 98 and 01 are going to make it a Deetz Racing 1&2 on the first lap but 44L of Ismael Garcia isn’t here to make friends and he is driving that truck hard tonight. The 44L will make his move into second over the 98 Rusty Bowen and we are 4 laps in when the 44L and 01 of Dave Deetz will get together on the backstretch for the lead! The 01 will slide just over the berm and its Ismael Garcia to the lead at the Line. 5 laps in and 10 to go Ismael Garcia leads the 01 who is still holding strong in second over the 501 Jaime Bejerano. 6 laps remain and into turn 3 it’s the 501 taking second clean as a whistle. They will battle for the next three laps as the 44L absolutely takes drives the bus tonight. With 3 laps to go the 502 has pulled from the 01 but it’s going to take a caution for him to even have a chance tonight. No miracle caution for the 501 and the 44L is going to lead those last laps like the speeding bullet that he is. Its Ismael Garcia in 44L at the checkered flag first tonight! Jaime Bejerano in 501 battles to a hard place second and after trouble for the 01, the 80-year-old Sharman Barnett will slide his 80 truck into third!

Its about to get hot because we have 5 rows and a spare of USRA Street Stocks tonight! Ed Engel will lead lap 1 in the 00ET. But into turn 1 they go 3 wide for the lead! It’s the 74J of Jason Josselyn to the lead out of turn 2 with the 42 and 00ET still battling for second. Josselyn will take his lead and run that next lap way out but caution brings that run to an end! 18 to go and Josselyn will take this restart like a champ but now it’s the 44X of George LaRose into second. Todd Froats in L750 has also moved up to third with 13 to go. Josselyn still holding onto the lead over the 44X but it’s a fight now! The 44JT and L750 are battling for third while also catching the leaders, as they are the fastest two on the track. 10 in with 10 to go and the 74J has a clear track ahead after cutting through the lappers. Into turn 1 there is sparks under the 74J but he will hold off the 44X until turn 3 when George LaRose will go top shelf and to the lead! Problems for the 74J down the front stretch and he comes to a screeching halt in the top of turn 2. The 74J will get 3 minutes in the hot pits to fix that car but it looks like his night is over. 9 laps remain now and George LaRose is the official race leader with Jaime Torres inside row two in 44JT! On the restart it’s going to be the 44 show as the 44X leads the 44Jt by a car but they are both gone from the field. Those top 2 will go nose-for-nose all the way around for an entire 2 laps but its coming to 7 to go and out of turn 4 Jaime Torres is going to grab the top traction and take the lead! 15 laps in with only 5 to go and it’s the 44Jt checking out over the field. The L750 still runs in third but it’s the 777 pushing him hard now and they keep things interesting for these final laps. Jaime Torres will lead these last 4 laps clean with no trouble and this race is all his in the 44JT! George LaRose holds onto second in the 44X and Todd Froats rounds out the podium tonight in the USRA Street Stocks A Main.

The Casa Nissan Legends are ready to rumble but first, it’s all about Josh! Josh is missed in this field tonight and we are all thinking of him continually. Brady LaBree will lead the opening lap in this 15 lapper. It’s LaBree who has repainted his car and is now the 37 to represent Josh Jackson tonight in probably the coolest way possible. The 237 of Steven “Scuba” Arellano is holding off the 902 of Mike Zuloaga for second but neither of those drivers looks to have the speed of the 37 tonight. We are half way through with 7 laps complete and 8 to go but caution is going to bunch the field back together as the 37 was leading the 237 by almost a half track. Tthe37 will drag us back to green and away he goes! The 237 will also hold off the 902 for second but now they both have company in the 11 year old Gunner Harris whom is tearing it up tonight in that 54. Just after Harris makes the pass on Zuloaga but before he gets by the 237, we have a caution and then red flag for the 46 of Mike Fitzwater who has caught his car on fire in turn 4! Our awesome track crew is there in a split and the fire is out with driver being ok!! 3 laps remain when we go back to green and it the LaBree in the 37 just dominating once again. The surprise is the 54 jumping into second and not looking back now! It’s a #37strong night, as Brady LaBree will lead from flag to flag in support of Josh Jackson. Gunner Harris has driven to a great finish in second on Steven Arellano will round out third in the 237.

Have you checked the time!? Because if you have, then you know IT IS MODIFIED TIME!! 19 of these rough and tough dirt devils will roll onto the speedway tonight for 25 laps. The J17 of Jake Gallardo always has speed here and luckily he starts on the pole tonight. Get off your seats, and on your feet because its USRA Modified race time!! The J17 will dart ahead of the pack quickly but the action comes from mid pack as they go 4 wide for top 4! Royal Jones will win that battle and like a speeding bullet he catches the G17 for second. The J17 is way up after 3 laps but his dad, Fito Gallardo in G17, is not one to give up easily! The 131 is still hangin on in 3rd but now it’s the 9 of Jammin Jimmy Ray up to fourth to make this interesting! 17 to go and the 131 off the track with what would be diagnosed as a radiator problem after the race. The 9 will now inherit the 3rd spot behind the Gallardo clan. The 131 will not have the speed to make it all the way off the racetrack and we have a caution as he is stuck behind turn 3. The J17 was a full straight away ahead of his dad on that run but now they bunch back together and we go racing for 17 laps. The Gallardo’s might be 1&2 but now it’s Jammin Jimmy Ray and Fireball Flores running 3&4! Jimmy Ray shoots out on the restart and second is his over the G17 for now! Fito will try and go low but 10 in with 15 to go it wont stick on this track. Dwayne Murphy in 49 goes around Flores for fourth but the J17 is gone from the pack again tonight. The 9 and G17 will go door-to-door for a few laps but its still going to ne Jammin Jimmy Ray holding onto that second spot. The j17 is smooth up front now and nobody stands a chance. 5 to go and Jake Gallardo getting around the lapped cars like a hot knife through butter. Jimmy Ray gets a little whiskey and kisses the front stretch wall out of 4 but he holds it together and wont let Fito by. Jake Gallardo in J17 will take home the big win tonight but as he crosses for the checkered flag his dad will go top shelf around Jimmy Ray down the back stretch and into second on the last lap! That’s right, Jake Gallardo was a half-track ahead of the other drivers tonight. Fito Gallardo with that last lap pass for second and Jammin Jimmy Ray holding onto 3rd.

The racing was great tonight but at the end of the evening we must all remember that this sport is tough and that one of our own, Josh Jackson, needs all our prayers and support that we can give. The link to help the Jackson family is here and with anything you can do is greatly appreciated. http://www.gofundme.com/joshjacksonracing

We thank you all and hope to see you again next week. #37STRONG
